A superb fiddle player, singer & composer, Nancy is one of the most celebrated folk musicians of her generation. Long acclaimed as a brilliant performer of traditional music & song, Nancy is also a fine writer of tunes & songs with her own poetic voice. Nancy has worked with Eliza Carthy, Sandra Kerr, James Fagan, Kerr Fagan Harbron, the Melrose Quartet, The Sweet Visitor Band, The Full English, & Simpson Cutting Kerr.
This workshop will cover tune learning (at your pace, but also discussing some techniques for expanding our repertoire and improving our musical ear) and how to play with expression and swing. Some music will be sent in advance.

| 13.30 | Style: How we can use bowing, ornaments, dynamic, rhythm etc - to make our playing "swing" - whatever our favourite style or tradition is. |

| 15.15 | Texture: We will build harmonies, accompaniments, experiment with double stops and plucking, and discuss other techniques that help us become expressive solo and group players. All questions welcome! |
