Sally Sloane (1894-1982, New South Wales) was one of the most important Australian traditional singers & musicians, playing one-row melodeon, fiddle & mouth-organ. She had a glorious distinctive style & large repertoire, much of it recorded in the 1950s.

Ian Hayden of New South Wales is an enthusiast for Sally's music, bringing his workshops to many Australian folk events. He will encourage attendees to play along with recordings of her to absorb her style, and will provide a handout & dots for selected tunes. Ian plays D/G & one-row melodeon, mandolin, tenor banjo & more.
